ingredients

(for 8 Waffles)

  • 30 g Mix for plant-based egg alternatives
  • 120 g cold water from the fridge (3° - 4°C)
  • 330 g of “00” or “type 1” flour
  • 375 g vegetable drink of your choice
  • 45 g seed oil
  • 75 g sugar
  • 25 g baking powder
  • One packet of vanilla or vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Maple syrup/fresh fruit/powdered sugar for garnish

PROCEDURE

Preparing the Egg Alternative

In a mixing bowl, combine the mix for plant-based egg alternatives with cold water from the fridge, whisking until smooth.

Mixing the Waffle Batter

In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, vegetable drink, oil, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.

Add the prepared plant-based egg alternative to the dry ingredients and stir until everything is thoroughly mixed. This creates the waffle batter.

Cooking the Waffles

Pour a scant ladleful of batter onto the preheated, oiled waffle iron. Close the griddle and cook for approximately 5 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown and cooked through. Serve.
