ingredients

For the sausages:
  • 1 package of Beamy plant-based burger mix Chicken flavour + 250 ml of cold water + 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 30 g of oil (for cooking)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small piece of ginger
  • 50 g of flour

PROCEDURE

Preparation of the sausages:

Pour the entire content of the Beamy bag into a large bowl. Add 200 ml of cold water and 3 tablespoons of oil. Mix with a spoon until you obtain a smooth dough. Let it rest in the refrigerator for a few minutes. Once the dough is cold, shape it into sausages using oiled hands. Dust the sausages with flour. 

Cooking the sausages:

In a pan, heat 40g of oil and sauté the garlic cloves and the piece of ginger until golden. Add the floured sausages and cook them until gilding, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Preparation of the sauce:

In a small bowl, mix together the lemon juice, sugar, water, cornstarch (or potato starch), salt, the end of the chopped onion and the lemon zest. 

Cooking the sauce:

Once the sausages are golden brown, pour the sauce directly into the pan and mix until it shrinks.

Preparation of the rice:

Cook the basmati rice according to the instructions on the package.

Serving:

Serve the ginger and lemon vegan sausages with the basmati rice. Garnish it with additional lemon zest and chopped spring onion. Enjoy your meal!
